About the Opportunity
WF Tech are recruiting for a long-established precision engineering company that specialises in high-tolerance components for F1, motorsport and high-performance engineering sectors. As their project portfolio continues to expand, they are investing heavily in machining capability and growing their team. With a young, ambitious workforce and exciting development plans, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC Turner to take ownership of a key area within the business.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced CNC Turner who is ready to take control of and develop a dedicated CNC turning cell. This role offers a high level of autonomy and responsibility, ideal for someone who enjoys leading their own processes and helping shape a modern, growing machining department.
Working with Doosan lathes with live tooling and Fanuc controls, you will manufacture complex, close-tolerance components for F1 and motorsport applications. You will be responsible for setting, programming and operating machines, ensuring accuracy and quality throughout production.
Key Responsibilities
• Set, program and operate CNC turning centres (Doosan with Fanuc controls).
• Manufacture high-precision, tight-tolerance components for F1 and motorsport industries.
• Take full ownership of a CNC turning cell, including tooling, workflow and process improvements.
• Support new project development in collaboration with engineering and production teams.
• Carry out quality checks using standard inspection equipment.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and best manufacturing practices.
• Maintain an organised, clean and safe working area.
About You
• Experienced CNC Turner with strong setting, operating and programming skills (Fanuc essential).
• Confident with live tooling and multi-axis turning operations.
• Background in close-tolerance machining (motorsport, F1, aerospace or high-precision engineering).
• Able to work independently and take ownership of a machining zone.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Positive, proactive and keen to be part of a growing, dynamic team.
What’s on Offer
• Day shift, Monday–Friday.
• 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
• Opportunity to build and lead a dedicated CNC turning cell.
• Stable company with major growth and investment planned.
• Supportive environment with a young, developing team.
• Work on exciting, high-performance engineering projects.
