Position: Workshop Technician
Location: Ellesmere Port
Hours: Monday - Friday Days
Salary: Up to £30,000p/a DOE
The Technician plays a crucial role in supporting the effective operations of the service and rentals division by ensuring that equipment is properly tested, maintained, and functional. The role involves a variety of responsibilities related to inventory management, equipment preparation, shipping and receiving, and maintaining a clean and organised shop environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Equipment Preparation and Maintenance: Preparing equipment for field services, ensuring it is clean and in good working order, and maintaining detailed records of maintenance and repairs.
- Inventory Management: Tracking equipment status, managing shipping and receiving, and updating asset tracking systems.
- Tool Repair Coordination: Collaborating with third-party vendors for tool repairs and maintaining records of all tools and equipment.
- Organisation and Cleanliness: Ensuring the shop is organised and presentable, while also conducting regular maintenance of vehicles and shop equipment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong mechanical background.
- Familiarity with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Experience in tool repairs, shipping and receiving, and inventory management is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Must have a positive attitude and a strong work ethic, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Some travel may be expected on a time-to-time basis, along with overnight stays.
