22.75 hours a week 7.30am -9am Monday to Friday, 3pm – 6pm Monday to Thursday and until 6.15pm on Friday
Salary Details: Grade 03 (£27,254 to £28,598 fte) Starting actual salary £16,757.53 per annum.Employment Start Date: Monday 12th January 2026 or as soon as possible after this date.The successful candidate should be able to manage the day to day running of the school site, including cleaning, repairs and maintenance. We would like to hear from you if you are an experienced caretaker, cleaner or ex-tradesperson. DIY skills are desirable, as is the ability to prioritise and manage your own workload.
The school building will need to be open by 7.30am and closed from 6pm. Hours are 7.30am to 9am and 3pm – 6pm Monday to Thursday and until 6.15pm on Friday
We will provide the relevant safety equipment and ongoing training as required.

• None required but good attitude to work, be physically active and able to undertake basic repair work to school fixtures and fittings within area of competence
Essential criteria:
* Able to work under direction and under own initiative
* Use chemicals, tools and equipment safely and efficiently
* Thoroughness and ability to work to pre-set timescales
* Work constructively as part of a team
* Be line manager for our cleaner
• Independently open up, lock up and setting or disabling alarms as needed.
• Complete statutory health and safety checks, reporting any defects and filling in basic paperworkComplete caretaking and cleaning duties ( see job description)
• Complete elements of cleaning/ DIY and maintenance work during school holidays
• Carry out lower level maintenance tasks around the school building.
• Help with portering and storage, setting out and putting away furniture.
• Take meter readings
Desirable criteria:
• Previous caretaking/cleaning or equivalent experience
• COSHH training
