Summary
St Mary’s College is looking for a cleaner to commence as soon as possible.
Monday – Friday 3.00p.m. – 6.15pm pm (16.25 hours per week term time plus 115 hours to be worked during school holidays at times to be agreed with the Site manager/ cleaning supervisor)
• To undertake, as a member of a team, the cleaning of premises; this may from time to time be varied at the discretion of the Services Manager
• . To work alone without supervision.
• To ensure that the designated areas are kept in a clean and hygienic condition in accordance with agreed schedules and quality standards.
• Specific duties shall include cleaning and disinfection, washing, sweeping, vacuum cleaning, emptying of litter bins, polishing and dusting of the designated areas (which will include toilets) and fixtures and fittings.
• To ensure safe practice and efficient use of cleaning products. COSHH regulations must be adhered to.
• To use, where appropriate, electrical powered equipment. For example, a buffing machine.
• Duties and hours may vary between term and closure periods and shall be undertaken at the discretion of the Site Manager.
• To report to the Site Manager any maintenance faults that may require immediate attention for Health & Safety regulations.
• This post involves standing for the length of the shift, walking and carrying items up and down stairs, repetitive arm movements, lifting in a safe manner, bending and pushing/pulling objects.
