A Primary SEMH School/PRU in Salford is looking for three enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants (TA2) to join their supportive team which caters for primary aged children with SEMH needs and/or who have been permanently excluded. These roles will be based across the school, helping to create a safe and inclusive learning environment. This is a welcoming, community-focused school with a strong commitment to inclusion and pupil wellbeing. Their staff work collaboratively to provide a positive, nurturing environment where every child can thrive. The school offers modern facilities and a caring ethos that values creativity, teamwork, and respect.
Location: Salford
Contract: Full-time, Temporary (Potential temp to perm)
Start Date: ASAP
Rate: Up to £125
About the Role
- Support pupils with SEMH and Behavioural needs across the school
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and interventions.
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation using agreed strategies.
- Contribute to creating a calm, structured environment for learning.
Essential Requirements:
- Teaching Assistant Level 2 qualification (or equivalent experience)
- Team Teach trained - confident in using positive behaviour support techniques
- Experience supporting children with SEMH needs, preferably within a SEMH school, PRU or care setting
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and build strong relationships
