Founded in 1984, our client is a well-established structural and civil engineering practice providing expert services across a wide range of sectors. They plan, design, and deliver all aspects of structural and civil engineering from detailed reports to advanced analysis, design engineering, modelling, and project management.
They are now seeking a Structural Project Engineer with between 3 and 10+ years’ experience to join their team in Trowbridge. Juniors with less experience will also be considered, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in a supportive and forward-thinking consultancy.
Are you the right person for the job?
• 3 to 10+ years’ UK industry experience (or equivalent) in structural engineering — junior candidates with less experience are also welcome to apply
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Chartered (CEng) or actively working toward Chartership with ICE or IStructE
• Experience performing detailed structural design, analysis, and inspections independently
• Proficiency with TEDDS, Tekla Structural Designer, or similar software
• Strong communication skills with clients, contractors, suppliers, and colleagues
• Eligible to live and work in the UK, with a valid driving license
What will your role look like?
• Perform detailed structural design and analysis independently
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other designers
• Prepare design calculations, drawings, reports, and contract documents
• Manage projects and maintain schedules
• Supervise and mentor junior engineers as required
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, environmental, and managerial procedures
• Take leadership roles on large projects when required
What can you expect in return?
• £34,000 – £50,000 depending on experience and qualifications
• 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:30 with 1-hour unpaid lunch, plus flexible workload outside office hours
