Our client is a producer of high quality food industry packaging based in St Neots, The Best Connection are delighted to be supporting their operations and are currently recruiting for Production Operatives to join their long- standing team during a period of significant growth.
Production Operatives will be working in a clean, friendly environment helping to pack, count and wrap high quality packaging for some of the most well -known food brands in the UK. Full training will be given to candidates who are reliable and committed with an interest in working in the print trade.
Shifts are Monday to Friday 06:00 - 15:00hrs
Pay rate: £12.21 per hour hour, overtime is paid at time and a half of £18.32 per hour after 43 Hours.
Requirements of the Production Operative role:
- Follow all food safety and workplace health and safety protocol at all times whilst on shift
- Pick, Pack, Count and wrap products to the highest standards
- Ensure that finished products are correctly identified, labelled and dispatched to production targets
- Dispose of waste packaging trimmings and cardboard safely using equipment/machinery as directed
- Work collaboratively with the workshop team to achieve production targets.
- Operate Workshop equipment and machinery safely according to guidance and training provided.
Responsibilities of the Production Operative:
- Candidates must be reliable, committed and take pride in producing high-quality work
- Follow all health and safety protocol, including production site housekeeping on shift
- Ensure that all orders are counted and packed accurately using equipment where necessary
- Have good communication skills and enjoy working as part of the production team to achieve targets
- Live locally or have reliable transport to get to the location
