Summary
We are looking for a compassionate, reliable Care Assistant to join our dedicated care team on both days and nights. You will provide high-quality personal care and support to our residents, ensuring their safety, comfort, and dignity at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide personal care including washing, dressing, toileting, and continence support
Support residents to settle down for the night and assist with any needs that arise
Respond promptly and appropriately to call bells and resident needs
Support with meal times.
Monitor and record resident wellbeing, sleep patterns, and any changes in condition
Ensure accurate record-keeping and handovers
Carry out regular checks (e.g. hourly observations, safety checks) as per care plan
Assist with repositioning and mobility where necessary
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in resident areas and communal spaces
Administer medication if trained and authorised (optional, depending on role level)
Report concerns promptly to the senior on duty or management team
What We’re Looking For:
Experience in a care setting preferred (but not essential – full training provided)
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards it)
Kind, patient, and respectful attitude
Good written and verbal communication skills
We do not offer or accept Certificates of Sponsorship (COS) for this position.
Ability to work independently and remain alert throughout night shifts
Understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality
