Job Overview

Domiciliary Care Female Drivers
This role involves assisting with daily activities, administering medication, and implementing care plans tailored to each individual's needs. You will be a compassionate and empathetic with a genuine desire to help and care for others.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care – including washing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Assist with mobility – helping clients move around their home safely.
Support with medication – prompting or administering prescribed medication as needed.
Meal preparation – preparing and serving nutritious meals and drinks.
Household tasks – light cleaning, laundry, and helping maintain a safe, tidy environment.
Companionship – offering friendly conversation, emotional support, and social interaction.
Help with errands – including shopping, attending appointments, and collecting prescriptions.
Monitor and record care – keeping accurate records of visits, changes in health, and reporting any concerns to senior staff.
Respect privacy and dignity – always upholding the rights, choices, and confidentiality of each client.
Follow care plans – working in line with individual care plans and health & safety procedures.
Skills

Experience in domiciliary care - desirable but not essential as full training will be given.
Strong communication skills – to engage clearly and kindly with clients, families, and colleagues.
Patience & understanding – especially when supporting individuals with complex needs..
Good time management – managing multiple visits and tasks efficiently.
Attention to detail – noticing small changes in a client’s health or mood.
Teamwork – working closely with care coordinators, families, and other carers.
Problem-solving – staying calm and resourceful in unexpected situations.
Basic literacy & numeracy – for logging care notes and managing medication records.
