As our Senior Payroll and HR Coordinator, you’ll be at the heart of our people operations, ensuring our payroll runs seamlessly each month and supporting a wide range of HR activities. This is a hands-on role where your attention to detail, organisational skills, and commitment to confidentiality will make a real difference.
What you’ll do:
· Accurately process monthly payroll, ensuring all legislative and contractual responsibilities are met
· Input and manage employee and HMRC data using our Cascade payroll system
· Handle payroll queries from staff and external partners, delivering excellent customer service
· Administer salary sacrifice, cycle scheme, childcare vouchers, and other benefits
· Manage court order administration and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation
· Maintain up-to-date payroll records, including sickness and absence data
· Reconcile payroll spreadsheets, pension payments, and general ledger postings
· Support and train team members on payroll software and processes
· Build strong relationships with managers to understand and meet business needs
· Help coordinate onboarding and induction processes for new starters
· Support with maintaining accurate HR records and ensuring compliance with GDPR and data protection
· Assist with HR projects, administration and initiatives, contributing to a positive workplace culture
What we’re looking for:
· Experience of end-to-end payroll processing, ideally within a busy HR or Finance team
· Strong organisational and communication skills, with a passion for accuracy
· Up-to-date knowledge of payroll legislation and best practice
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
· A proactive, positive approach and a commitment to Break’s values
