Could you be the glitter to our glue?

We are looking for part time support workers to join our team for evening shifts from 4pm - 10pm.

Lufton College has 2 sites across 40 acres of beautiful countryside. We support young people and adults, between the age of 16 – 25, that have autism with additional learning needs and associated complex behaviours across day, 38 and 52 week placements. Our college aims to enrich and support students as they enter this important part of adulthood.

Due to growth, we are recruiting for Youth Support Workers to join our team. Our mission is to make extraordinary days, everyday by giving our young people the skills and support to shine their brightest

No two days are ever the same and that is what makes this role exciting! You might find yourself:

  • On cinema or theatre trips with the young people.
  • Visiting Longleat, Kingston Maurward animal park or National Trust properties.
  • Supporting our young people in the community with activities such as horse riding, swimming, bowling, running and shopping.
  • Supporting the young people in the gym teaching about maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Why work with us?

Joining our team means stepping into a role where every day feels rewarding, inspiring and full of purpose!

  • Take advantage of 6 weeks of paid annual leave to rest and recharge.
  • Grow your skills with outstanding training opportunities designed to support your career journey and benefit from real progression opportunities.
  • Feel supported every step of the way with friendly management and senior leads who truly care.
  • Access to our 24 hour employee assistance programme because your wellbeing matters to us.

You will work across Care, Education and Therapeutic services supporting each other’s practice. This is a unique opportunity to work collaboratively with qualified professionals from across our multidisciplinary team and join an expanding, successful educational organisation.

The young people that we care for come to us with a variety of needs and abilities. Our challenge is to help them build the hope, confidence, knowledge and skills to unlock their potential. From innovative educational experiences to national curriculum programmes, supported by passionate teams of specialists and key workers, we actively enable each young person to achieve their personal best, all in an environment that best suits them.

We are looking someone who is:

  • Friendly, enthusiastic and genuinely passionate about improving the lives of others
  • Positive, uplifting and a consistent role model to others
  • Innovative, engaging enthusiastic and inspirational
  • An excellent communicator and calm, mature and supportive listener.
  • Confident in working independently and as part of an amazing team.

No experience? No problem!

If you have the heart, passion and drive to help young people thrive, we’ll give you all the training and support you need.

Successful candidates will have to meet the person specification in order to be offered this post. Cambian is committed to Safeguarding and protecting the young people and service users within our care. All candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and reference checks.
