Hours: 7 hours per week (over two afternoons – flexibility available)
Pay: £12.60 per hour
Are you friendly, reliable, and love spending time outdoors? A man living with a spinal injury is looking for a Personal Assistant to support him in getting out and about to enjoy the beautiful open spaces and woodland near his home in Gifford, East Lothian.
Your main role will be to provide practical assistance during outings, including helping with wheelchair transfers and accompanying him as he explores nature and enjoys the fresh air. You’ll receive full training on using his off-road, all-terrain wheelchair.
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, patient, and enthusiastic
- Comfortable working outdoors in all seasons
- A dog lover (you’ll often have a four-legged companion along!)
- Reliable and able to work independently
- Moving and handling trained (not essential as training will be provided)
- A driver (full driving licence valid in UK preferred but not essential)
This is a rewarding role for someone who enjoys helping others maintain independence and live life to the fullest.
