We are looking for an IEP Administrator to join our Imaging team within the IEP Team at St Bartholomew’s Hospital. We operate over 5 days between the hours of 09:00 to 17:00.
This is a great opportunity to undertake this role within the Breast Imaging Department, as the successful candidate will work cross-site cover across the network.
A key responsibility of this role is requesting and managing patient images across the hospital using the Image Exchange Portal (IEP), PACS and RISe systems.
The role involves varied administrative tasks, including requesting and transferring images through the Image Exchange Portal, inputting patient information, speaking with patients, handling enquiries, supporting the administrative team, scheduling appointments using the RISe system, and providing Reception cover.
The successful candidate will need to be proactive, flexible, and a reliable team player, able to manage a varied workload to meet demanding targets and changing deadlines. They must be able to work within a multi-disciplinary, confidential environment and strictly adhere to Information Governance procedures. Strong computer literacy is essential, as the post-holder will be expected to input, extract, and manage information across multiple imaging and patient-tracking systems. Full system training will be provided.
To act as an IEP Administrator for the team ensuring effective and efficient administrative support to the Imaging Services
· Pro-actively support the day-to-day delivery of an effective and efficient Picture Archiving and Communication System PACS, Radiology information System (RIS) across all Bart’s sites.
· Update patient record system as required
· Provide secretarial support to the team, as required.
· Manage the IEP (Image Exchange Portal) service, ensuring that the daily large volumes imaging is sent out and retrieved in a timely manner. This involves liaising directly with multi- disciplinary teams both inside and outside the Trust to ensure that images are available wherever they are needed in the required timescale.
· Answer telephone calls and relay any messages in a timely manner
These process steps ensure a smooth and efficient service for patients throughout their treatment within the Trust. In addition to the administrative supervision, the role will encompass daily and weekly monitoring to maintain, and adhere to, real time workflows.
