Crynodeb
The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities: Collaborate with management and consultant colleagues to develop the elderly medicine service. Ensure ongoing clinical responsibility for patients, coordinating with colleagues within the department. Contribute to consultant cover during leave. Develop and promote services that minimise hospital stay and promote recovery and independent living. Participate in medical audit and maintain clinical governance. Provide professional supervision, direction, and training to junior medical staff. Engage in postgraduate teaching activities. Attend meetings of the Directorate of Medicine for Older People. Be an integral part of the MDT on the elderly and frailty wards.. Share responsibility for acute elderly wards. To be part of the elderly 1 in 6 weekend rota. To be part of the acute on call rota.
