Summary
Renault Hayes is seeking a Service Manager to manage our busy Van Centre on Silverdale Road, Hayes (UB3). The focus of the role will be to organise, direct and control the activities of the Van Centre service department which includes Smart Repair operations.
What you’ll be doing
Implementing the standards and procedures of Renault Retail Group (RRG) and ensure the delivery of a consistently high quality of service to the customer to achieve complete customer satisfaction / recommend score above the National Average
Ensuring that the Service department including smart repair earns direct profit at or above budget level, and ensuring that Workshop WIP is in line with budget stipulations and Workshop debt in line with budget stipulations
Managing, coaching and mentoring the service team to ensure they achieve their objectives whilst delivering results to meet and exceed budgets
Monitoring customer complaints and ensuring an effective resolution to satisfy the customer in a timely manner
Ensuring accurate warranty submissions that comply with company policy
Ensuring a fully embedded process is in place for VHC and Diamond Vue
Ensuring department complies with H&S regulations, Renault 10 Mandatory Rules and 74 Key Requirements
Delivering Safety Alerts and Toolbox Talks to the team
What you’ll bring
Previous relevant experience as a Van Centre Service Manager (essential)
Experience of smart repair operations
Knowledge of service schedules, inspection types, and maintenance intervals for vans
Previous experience managing a high performing team
Ability to deliver a first-class customer experience
Proficiency in commercial techniques, business process management, and regulatory compliance
Knowledge of Health and Safety Law applicable to a workshop
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Determination to succeed and professionalism
Computer literate and ability to use CDK Drive / Kerridge
Full UK driving licence
Working pattern
You’ll be working 45 hours per week. The working hours are Monday to Friday 8am-6pm with 1 hour for lunch. Saturday working on a rota
