We are seeking a Young Adult Support Worker to work with school leavers aged 19-25, supporting them in developing life skills, accessing opportunities, and preparing for employment.
The Role
- Position: Young Adult Support Worker
- Location: Oldham
- Contract: Temp-to-Perm
- Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00am-4:00pm
- DBS: Child & Adult Clearance required
You will work closely with young adults to support them in community living, personal development, and employability skills. This may include practical support with daily routines, budgeting, travel, job applications, and accessing social opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support young adults in developing independent living skills
- Provide guidance and practical support for finding work and training opportunities
- Encourage participation in community activities and social engagement
- Help build confidence, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Work closely with other professionals, families, and support services
Who We're Looking For
- Experience in support work, youth work, mentoring, or similar roles is desirable
- Passionate about helping young adults develop independence
- Confident working with people aged 19-25 with varying needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Resilient, patient, and adaptable
