The Opportunity:
Long Term Futures are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a supportive secondary SEND provision in the Wandsworth (SW17) area. This school supports pupils with a range of complex learning needs, including Autism, physical disabilities, and communication difficulties.
The successful candidate must be comfortable providing personal care, as this is an essential part of supporting pupils' wellbeing and independence.

Your Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and small-group support for secondary-aged pupils with SEND
* Assist with personal care, including hygiene routines and mobility support
* Implement strategies to support behavioural, communication, and sensory needs
* Help create a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment
* Support teachers with adapted resources, interventions, and individual support plans
* Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and families
Requirements:
* Experience supporting pupils with SEND in a school or care environment
* Ability and willingness to carry out personal care responsibilities
* Strong communication and behaviour-management skills
* Patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach
* Understanding of safeguarding, wellbeing, and SEND best practice
