Pay: £27,576 - £30,045 per annum
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm
Contract: Long-term to permanent
Start Date: ASAP or January 2026

About the Role
We are recruiting a Level 2 Teaching Assistant for a supportive and inclusive secondary school in the NG9 area. The school has a strong community ethos and is committed to helping every student make progress, both academically and personally.
In this role, you will work across different subjects, supporting students who need additional help to stay engaged and confident in lessons. As a Level 2 TA, you will also take on extra responsibility within the support team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide tailored 1:1 and small-group support for students with additional needs
- Lead and support Level 1 Teaching Assistants, offering guidance where required
- Deliver targeted interventions and small-group sessions with confidence
- Adapt classroom tasks and resources so that all pupils can access learning
- Encourage positive behaviour, consistency and emotional wellbeing
Who We're Looking For - Level 2 TA
We welcome candidates with a range of backgrounds. This role would suit:
- An experienced Teaching Assistant ready to take on additional responsibility
- Someone with a specialism or strong skillset ( English, Maths, science, sports, creative subjects) who is confident supporting learning
You will need to:
- Lead Level 1 TAs confidently and support day-to-day organisation
- Deliver structured 1:1 and small-group interventions
- Build positive relationships with young people
- Work calmly, proactively and professionally across the school
