ANZUK is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Assistant to join a specialist school in Bromley, supporting children and young people with severe learning difficulties and disabilities. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students aged 3-19 years.
The Role
- Provide tailored support to children with complex needs in both classroom and individual settings
- Assist with learning activities, personal care, and communication development
- Work closely with teachers, therapists, and families to ensure each child thrives
- Promote independence, inclusion, and positive behaviour management
Requirements
- Previous experience supporting children or young people with severe learning difficulties and disabilities
- Ideally hold Team Teach or positive restraint training (training can be provided if needed)
- Strong communication skills and a patient, empathetic approach
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
