Job Summary: Admin Assistant
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Administrative Assistant to support our operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in data entry, customer service, Microsoft Office, Google application suite, and telephone etiquette. You will play a crucial role in managing queries, directing calls, and ensuring smooth communication between departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Answer and direct phone calls professionally, ensuring queries reach the right person or department.
Process enrollment applications
Perform accurate data entry, maintaining up-to-date records.
Contact learners regarding their loan applications, providing necessary information and support (managing queries via email and phone)
Manage administrative tasks to support daily office operations.
Utilise Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Google Suite, etc.) for documentation and reporting.
Registering learners on awarding bodies.
Skills and Experience
We are looking for a candidate with the following skills and experience.
However, we are open to considering candidates with transferable skills and experience. So even if you do not possess all the skills and experience, do still apply if you are interested.
Proven experience in administrative support, customer service, and data entry.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Familiar with Google application suite.
Strong telephone etiquette and excellent communication skills.
Ability to multitask and manage priorities effectively.
Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Schedule & Location:
In-person: Monday - Friday. 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
The successful candidate will be based in our south London site at Brixton twice a week and will be required to work from our new training centre in Barking, East London, once a week.
Hourly rate: £14 per hour
Start Date: January 2025
