MIDAS is seeking a dynamic International Markets Manager to support its inward investment strategy across India and other key global markets. This role will manage the Manchester India Partnership and lead international activities, strengthen stakeholder relationships, and promote Greater Manchester’s proposition worldwide in key global markets. Working closely with GMCA, DBT, the Growth Company, and regional and international partners, the manager will play a pivotal role in delivering the Greater Manchester International Strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the GM-India relationships and activities and be the first point of contact for the Manchester India Partnership.
Support delivery of GM-India strategies across civic, trade, investment, academia, culture, visitor economy, and connectivity.
Build and manage relationships with key partners in India and key global markets, GMCA, DBT, Growth Company, and trade organisations.
Plan and coordinate in-market activities, outbound missions, and inward delegations with tailored programmes and presentations for China and key global markets.
Collaborate with the marketing team on social media, campaigns, and collateral to promote GM-India strategy and opportunities.
Monitor, track, and report stakeholder engagements and activities using CRM, ensuring accurate records.
Provide administrative and financial support, maintaining budgets and reporting requirements.
Represent MIDAS at regional, UK, and international events, driving stakeholder engagement and inward investment opportunities.
Experience:

Proven ability to build and sustain constructive partnerships with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
Demonstrated success in delivering complex, multi-stakeholder programmes and achieving measurable outcomes.
Experience working in international business environments, both within the UK and overseas.
Strong project management expertise with a track record of effective delivery.
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills across all levels.
Advanced organisational and analytical capabilities, with clear and concise report writing skills.
Ability to manage high workloads, balance priorities, and consistently meet objectives while collaborating effectively in teams.
Proficiency in data handling, IT systems, and leveraging technology to support business goals.
About You:

Knowledge and understanding of international issues, with emphasis on trade and investment agendas.
Awareness of Greater Manchester’s social, economic, and political landscape.
Familiarity with UK government international strategy (desirable).
Fluency in Hindi (desirable).
Ambitious, resilient, and focused, with a tenacious approach to achieving goals.
Proactive self-starter, capable of delivering under tight deadlines.
Flexible and adaptable, able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
