About the Role
As a Senior Carer at Habitat Homecare, you will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and supporting our team of dedicated carers. You will carry out both field-based and office-based tasks, contributing to the smooth and compliant day-to-day operations of the service.
Key Responsibilities
Care Quality & Compliance
Conduct regular care spot checks to ensure excellence in care delivery and regulatory compliance.
Carry out medication observations to ensure safe administration and adherence to policy (meds training will be arranged if required).
Maintain accurate records and uphold Habitat Homecare’s high standards of documentation and care planning.
Operational & Office-Based Support
Participate in on-call, on a rota basis
Work from the office to support rostering, ensuring efficient scheduling and continuity of care for service users.
Assist with coordinating care, responding promptly to staff or client queries, and problem-solving in real-time.
Contribute to service improvements, quality assurance processes, and the wider operational success of the organisation.
About You
We are looking for a Senior Carer who:
Has previous experience in domiciliary care or a similar care environment.
Understands CIW regulations and the expectations of high-quality, safe care.
Possesses strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
Enjoys mentoring and supporting others to succeed.
Is reliable, calm under pressure, and committed to maintaining excellent standards.
Holds a full UK driving licence and has access to a vehicle (preferred).
Hold an NVQ level 3 in Health & Social Care or willing to work towards this qualification.
