As our service expands, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Carer to join our team. This role is field-based, focusing on delivering outstanding care and supporting our carers out in the community.
About the Role
As a Senior Carer, you will play a key part in ensuring high standards of care across our service. You’ll be out in the community completing care visits, supporting carers, and helping maintain the exceptional quality Habitat Homecare is known for.
Key Responsibilities
Quality & Care Delivery
Carry out spot checks to ensure care is delivered safely and to a high standard.
Complete client assessments and reviews (depending on experience).
Provide hands-on support in the field, including covering care when needed.
Mentor and support carers to build their skills and confidence.
Senior Duties
Participate in the on-call rota (with enhanced pay).
Provide real-time support to carers and clients while on-call.
Contribute to continuous improvement and uphold high regulatory standards.
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
Has experience in domiciliary care or a similar care setting.
Understands CIW regulations and the importance of safe, high-quality care.
Is confident, organised, and calm under pressure.
Enjoys mentoring, supporting, and leading others.
Is committed, reliable, and passionate about making a difference.
Holds an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or is willing to work towards it.
Has a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
