The Role
We’re looking for a creative and enthusiastic Design Technology Teacher, specialising in Food Technology, to join a well-established and supportive secondary school in Birmingham. The successful candidate will plan and deliver engaging, practical lessons across KS3 and KS4 — teaching food preparation, nutrition, design principles and associated DT theory. You’ll create a safe, inspiring environment where students can develop technical skills, creativity, and an understanding of healthy living and food-related design.

The Candidate
You’ll hold QTS (or be an ECT) with a strong interest or background in Food Technology or Design Technology. Experience teaching Food Technology at secondary level is highly desirable, as is confidence in managing practical lessons and ensuring health & safety in a food classroom. You should be organised, adaptable, able to plan and deliver creative schemes of work, and committed to supporting student progress and engagement.
