We’re on the lookout for an enthusiastic and experienced Payroll Team Leader to guide and inspire our clients payroll team!

In this key role, you’ll ensure smooth, accurate, and timely payroll services. You’ll work closely with the Payroll Manager, lead end-to-end payroll operations, and champion continuous improvement in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Duties of Payroll Team Leader

- Lead end-to-end high volume payroll processing
- Lead, coach and develop the payroll team
- Act as key contact for complex payroll queries, issues and escalations
- Ensure statutory compliance (P11Ds, P60s, PSA, Pension Auto Enrolment, HMRC reporting, audits and 3rd party payments)
- Champion customer service and continuous process improvement
- Lead cross-functional projects and system upgrades

Skills & Experience:

- CIPP Foundation Degree in Payroll Management or equivalent qualification
- Extensive payroll experience, preferably on high volume payrolls for multiple pay groups and with proven leadership skills
- Payroll systems experience, Iris Cascade HRi would be preferable but good understanding of other systems and payroll interfaces will be considered such as Oracle, Sage or iTrent
- Demonstrable exposure to systems implementation and continuous improvement
- Excellent communication, numeracy, and analytical skills
