What You’ll Need

  • Level 2 or 3 qualification in Health and Social Care
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a care assistant in a residential or nursing home
  • Understanding of person-centred care planning principles
  • Awareness of safeguarding, abuse prevention, and recognising signs of abuse
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and reliability
  • Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver high-quality care and support in line with individual care plans
  • Supervise and guide a team of care assistants to maintain best practices
  • Recognise and respond to safeguarding concerns, following correct procedures
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the wider care team
  • Support residents’ physical, emotional, and social wellbeing
