What You’ll Need

  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years (or equivalent) – essential
  • Experience in a nursery or early years setting, ideally as a room
  • Sound understanding of the EYFS framework and child development principles
  • Warm, approachable, and inclusive leadership style
  • Passion for supporting children’s growth, learning, and wellbeing

What You’ll Do

  • Oversee the daily running of the nursery room, ensuring smooth routines and high-quality care
  • Plan and deliver stimulating, developmentally appropriate activities for children
  • Lead, mentor, and support your team of early years practitioners
  • Monitor children’s progress, maintaining accurate records in line with EYFS requirements
  • Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and management
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment where every child can thrive
