Your new company
You'll be joining a leading construction business with a strong track record of delivering complex, high‑value projects across the region. The company is recognised for its collaborative approach, trusted client relationships, and commitment to excellence. With a portfolio spanning education, leisure, healthcare, and civic developments, this is an organisation that combines technical expertise with a people-first culture. Their success is built on teamwork, integrity, and a drive to achieve "perfect delivery" on every project.
Your new role
As a Quantity Surveyor, you'll take ownership of the commercial management of projects, ensuring financial control and contractual compliance from start to finish. You'll manage subcontractor accounts, oversee reporting processes, and provide accurate forecasting to support project success. Your role will involve building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, negotiating variations, and closing projects with precision. You'll also play a key part in coaching and supporting colleagues, helping to strengthen commercial awareness across the team.
What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience managing projects independently within the main contracting market
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance cost control and value creation
  • Technical knowledge of construction processes and contract management systems
  • Confidence in negotiation and communication to maintain positive client and subcontractor relationships
  • Leadership qualities to support and mentor team members while driving results

What you'll get in return

  • Responsibility and autonomy to manage your own projects and make a tangible impact
  • Exposure to major schemes across education, leisure, and public sector frameworks
  • Career progression opportunities within a business that invests in developing its people
  • A supportive and inclusive culture where collaboration and trust are central to success
  • Flexibility in working arrangements with a balance of office, site, and occasional remote work
  • Recognition and reward for delivering commercial excellence and contributing to long‑term business growth
