Our client based in the Wrexham area are looking to recruit a Shift Team Manager on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you will manage a shift team to deliver business KPI’s and day to day operational goals and deliverables.
Performance Objectives
• Lead and manage Shift Teams in line with Company procedures.
• Act as key representative of business for all operational matters – Safety, Quality, Delivery and People during non-core business hours.
• Drive performance of team members, giving direction and feedback to ensure good performance.
• Ensure people related issues are managed in line with company policies and procedures.
• Develop team in line with business expectations and standards including the development of cross functional teams and skills.
• Lead by example and ensure safe working practices are maintained and ‘Standard Operations’ adhered to.
• Achieve the required quality standards in line with Company and customer expectations.
• Ensure that Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) are monitored, and targets are achieved.
• Liaise and coordinate with support functions, whilst balancing resource/skill allocation to ensure delivery of plan to schedule within all relevant quality specifications.
• Lead (where required) and participate in standard daily and weekly operational and quality meetings.
• Adopt the use of lean tools to seek improvement ideas and deliver these improvements in a standardised way.
• Lead by utilising POP best practice and support the introduction of key POP strategic deliverables.
• Contribute to continuous improvement work streams by challenging non-conformance, looking and implementing solutions to ensure the best productivity results and compliance with procedures.
• Communicate with the teams by utilising the visual management, delivering shift briefs, with focus on safety, quality, delivery, cost and people.
Person Specification
• Strong people management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Adaptability, Attention to Detail and Resilience.
• Strong analytical skills.
• PC Literate/Word/Excel/Experience of SAP.
• Experience of working in a fast pace FMCG environment would be preferable
