Job Overview
-The Site Security
- will report to the Regional Security Operations Manager and will be responsible for leading security operations at the designated client site, ensuring a safe and secure environment for personnel and assets.
-This role requires vigilant and reliable professionals with a strong security background, as well as the ability to supervise and support on-site security teams.
-Key responsibilities include managing daily security operations, CCTV monitoring , conducting patrols, monitoring access points, handling incidents, and maintaining accurate reports.
-The ideal candidates will demonstrate strong leadership skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations, ensuring the highest standards of site security.
-The responsibility for ensuring appropriate welfare provisions lies with Mitie's Site Supervisor tasked with implementing and overseeing welfare arrangements, conducting regular inspections, and addressing any issues promptly.
-The site supervisor will work in conjunction with health and safety officers to ensure compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
Main Duties
-To protect our customer's property, people and/or assets by providing security services in direct accordance with the sites published Assignment Instructions (AI's) and any subsequent changes.
-Delivering results that meet and / or exceed the Key performance indicators / Service Level Agreement for the customer through full responsibility and accountability, providing a service that aids in the retention of the contract.
-To undertake additional training to ensure continuous self-development.
-To be responsible for the day-to-day operation of Security.
-Be the first point of contact for the Security team and deal with day-to-day matters such as standards of dress, discipline, and conduct are met and adhered to.
-Assist in on-going training to resident security teams and ensure all new security officers are fully trained and inducted to the site procedures and policies including CCTV, access control systems, deliveries and removals, fire alarms and intruder alarm.
-Develop teamwork within the workforce, ensuring high morale through effective motivational methods.
-Assist in review of Security Officers performance and development.
-To assist in any security / equipment investigations, i.e. thefts, missing items, complaints etc.
-Provide customer / client liaison as and when required.
-Ensure Assignment Instructions are adhered to at all times by security and shipping personnel.
-Ensure that any important messages are conveyed in the Security Handover and that all security personnel read and acknowledge them.
-Ensuring security records and logs are being kept up to date.
-Ensure the security team are compliant with all relevant legislation on data protection.

-Positively respond to reasonable requests made by Mitie management.
-Be flexible and prepared to work a rolling roster including days/nights/weekends and Bank Holidays
-Respond to reasonable requests made by the client that falls within contracted scope.
-Be courteous, helpful and polite at all times.
-Have the ability to communicate verbally and formally well , at all levels with a team player attitude.
-Be highly motivated and capable of multi-tasking, coupled with a team player attitude
-Have a pro-active approach to learning and development.
-Have the ability to handle a varied workload with attention to detail and be able to work on own initiative
-Must have Counter Terrorism (CT) level clearance or SC clearance.
-Must be able to satisfy the vetting checks as per BS7858.
-Must be able to work in line with the requirements and standards, as per BS 7499.
-Possess a valid SIA License for guarding/door supervision and CCTV licence.
-Site supervisory experience essential.
-Good literacy and communication skills and have good verbal and written English required.
-Be computer and software literate.
- Be Reliable, self- motivated and have the ability to use own initiative and work without supervision.
-Must have the ability to solve problems, make decisions and prioritise.
-Must have the ability to transfer self-motivation to staff.
-Must have the ability, tact and diplomacy to deal with people at all levels.
-Self-confidence and an interest in self-development essential.
-Must have an interest in the continuous improvement of the Company's performance.
-The nature of the role is such that it is essential that the post holder has and will maintain an excellent record of attendance and timekeeping.
