Teaching Assistant - Jan Start

Prospero Teaching is looking for a passionate and proactive teaching assistant to support the class teacher. You will be responsible for supporting the teacher with the pupils learning and development, in one of our Primary Schools in Bedlington on a full-time and long-term basis.

This is an exciting opportunity to build positive relationships with pupils and have a long-term, positive impact on their progress and development inside and outside the classroom.

About the Role:
- The role will involve planning and teaching engaging and informative lessons that inspire pupils and allows all pupils to make progress regardless of their ability levels.
- Stretching and challenging the learning and progress of all pupils in a group setting and on a 1-1 basis.
- Building positive relationships with pupils and the class teacher to create excellent learning environments.
- Managing challenging behaviour in a positive, proactive and consistent manner.
- Differentiating lessons appropriately to suit the needs and learning styles of all pupils.
- Using varied methods of assessment to assess pupil progress, whilst providing additional support when required.
- Displaying high levels of enthusiasm, energy and positivity when working with children.
- Working effectively with the teacher to ensure children receive the best possible educational experience.

About the School:
- The role is based in an inspirational Primary School in Bedlington.
- There is an opportunity for the role to be based across any age group from EYFS to Year 6., depending on the experience, specialism and preference of the successful Candidate.
- The School has an outstanding supportive culture and Leadership Team, where staff work as a Team within classrooms to provide high standards of support to pupils.

About the role:
- Location: Bedlington
- Start Date: January Start
- Contract:Full-Time
- Hours: 8:30-3:30
- Pay: £440-£600 per week

Experience/Qualifications and Requirements:
- An Enhanced DBS (ideally on the Update Service but this is not essential as we can process a new one for you)
- QTS / Teaching Assistant Qualifications and Primary School Teaching Assistant experience within the UK.
- Experience of utilising a range of methods to assess pupil progress
- Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum
- Strong relationship-building skills with an ability to build rapport
- A positive and resilient attitude towards Teaching and work
- Experience of Teaching within the UK
- A genuine passion for Teaching
- Strong organisation and communication skills
