Contact Supervision Worker
Description
The Contact Supervision Worker plays a vital role within our organization by facilitating supervised contact between children and their respective families in a safe, supportive environment. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about child welfare and are committed to fostering positive family connections when it comes to children who are in care or involved in child protection services. The Contact Supervision Worker will be responsible for observing and documenting interactions to ensure the safety and well-being of the child during visits, while also providing emotional support and guidance during the process. Responsibilities
Facilitate and supervise family contacts ensuring the safety and well-being of children involved.
Document observations and interactions during family visits, providing written reports as needed.
Communicate effectively with children and families to support relationship building and emotional development.
Assess and report any concerns related to child safety or family dynamics to the appropriate authorities.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, caregivers, and external agencies.
Ensure compliance with organizational policies and relevant legislation regarding child welfare and family contact.
Participate in team meetings and training sessions to continuously enhance skills and knowledge related to child supervision.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field.
Experience working with children and families, particularly in a social services or child welfare setting.
Strong understanding of child development and family dynamics.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
Proven ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism and empathy.
Flexibility to work varying hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
Commitment to upholding confidentiality and ethical standards in all interactions.
Hours Per Week: 35.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £13.70
