Our growing client, a key player in the UK's environmental and safety sector, is seeking a motivated Water Hygiene Technician to join their thriving Environment & Safety Division. This crucial, mobile role covers the North West and Yorkshire regions, supporting clients to ensure safe and compliant water systems across various commercial and infrastructure sites.
The Opportunity
As a Water Hygiene Technician (sometimes known as a Water Treatment Technician or Legionella Technician), you will be a vital link in maintaining statutory water hygiene compliance. You will utilise your expertise in Legionella control to provide essential services, contributing directly to the safety and success of our client's operations.

Key Responsibilities (Water Hygiene & Treatment)
- Perform a variety of critical water hygiene and water treatment tasks.
- Execute cleaning and chlorination of various water systems.
- Conduct servicing of TMVs (Thermostatic Mixing Valves) and Calorifiers.
- Undertake essential plumbing remedial work and system maintenance.
- Collaborate with the Service Engineer team to deliver comprehensive client solutions.
- Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with client stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this position, you must be a proactive, reliable, and team-focused professional with a background in UK water compliance.
- Proven, recent experience in water hygiene, water treatment, or Legionella control tasks.
- Solid knowledge of water hygiene processes and UK compliance requirements (e.g., ACoP L8/HSG274).
- Excellent communication, report writing, and client-facing skills.
- A Full UK Driving Licence is essential for this mobile role.
- A positive, solutions-focused, and professional attitude.
