Summary
HGV C+E - Shunter Driver (Turberg)
Location Stoke-on-Trent (ST3)
Temporary to Permanent Vacancy
Key role and responsibilities for our clients HGV C+E - Shunter Driver:
- Driving a Turberg Shunter
- Operate a HGV C+E - Shunter Driver safely to move,and collect HGV Trailers
- Safely manoeuvre and position trailers around the site
- Support the loading and unloading process as required
- Complete necessary paperwork and yard checks accurately
- Communicate clearly with warehouse, transport, and yard teams
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects
- Follow all site safety rules and ensure safe working practices at all times
Minimum requirements for this vacancy:
- Valid HGV Class C+E (CE) licence
- Good awareness of vehicle safety and site procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic communication and record-keeping skills
- Shunting experience is preferred but not essential (training can be provided)
- Subject to an HGV C+E driving assessment to be carried out prior to start
Salary: £DOE per hour PAYE, paid weekly
Statutory Deductions for TAX, NI and Pension if not opted out apply
Hours of Work:
Monday to Friday: between 07:00 & 19:00
