Assistant Social Media and Influencer Manager - Co-op Funeralcare
£37,000 to £41,500 plus excellent benefits (Work Level 6A)
Manchester city centre - in this role you'll work in a hybrid way splitting your time between home and the office (find out more about our hybrid working policy at https://jobs.coop.co.uk/hybrid-working-policy). In this role, you'll also travel/work outside normal working hours occasionally to attend shoots, events, etc.
We're looking for a creative and proactive Assistant Social Media & Influencer Manager to join our Funeralcare Marketing team and help us tell engaging stories about Co-op Funeralcare. As the UK's largest funeralcare provider, we're committed to providing a quality service, and you'll play a key role in making sure our clients have access to the information they need to say their best goodbye.
Why this role matters
You'll help us bring Co-op's values to life across our social channels, working on everything from paid campaigns and influencer collabs to community engagement and content creation. It's a varied role with loads of room to grow, experiment, and make a real impact. If you live and breathe social, love spotting trends before they go mainstream, and know how to turn a scroll into a stop - this could be your next move.
What you'll do
* Help plan, run, and optimise paid social campaigns across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and Reddit
* Develop and implement our social media strategy and governance
* Work with our partner agencies to create and implement paid, owned and earned plans, as well as make sure our content hits the mark
* Create and schedule organic content that feels relevant, and on-brand
* Track performance and pull out insights to help us do even better next time
* Support our Social Hub - our internal platform where colleagues can share Co-op content - and help to build a network of in-house creators
* Support community management: liaising with our agency team, upskilling, briefing to enable for them to reply to comments and DMs (direct messages) in a way that feels human, helpful, and very Co-op
* Spot brand advocates - and find ways to bring them closer to our story
* Support influencer campaigns from start to finish: sourcing, briefing, managing, and reporting
* Keep an eye on what competitors are doing and what's trending in the social world
What you'll bring
* Experience creating content for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Reddit
* Experience with managing paid campaigns/influencer campaigns
* A good grasp of social media analytics tools (we use Sprinklr, but others are useful too)
* A good eye for what makes content work
* Creativity, curiosity, and a willingness to try new things
* Great organisation and time management skills
* Some experience with community management for brands
Why Co-op?
At Co-op, we're owned by our members. And because we're owned by you, we can do right by you. So when you join us, you're not just taking a job, you're joining a movement. We're an organisation that puts people and communities first, and we're powered by purpose. We want this to be a place where you can thrive, so you'll also receive:
* An annual bonus (based on personal and business performance)
* 28 days holiday (rising to 32 with service) plus bank holidays
* A pension with up to 10% employer contributions
* Access to a subsidised onsite gym (at our Manchester HQ)
* 30% discount on Co-op products and 10% off other brands
* Stream - early access to a percentage of your pay as you earn it
* Virtual healthcare including GP appointments, mental health support, nutrition and fitness advice
* 24/7 colleague support service
* Training and support for your development and career progression
* Cycle-to-work scheme
