Summary
Therapies and Education Services are an integral part of Rampton Hospital and the education service sits within this wider team. The education team consists of teachers and learning support assistants. The team is divided into four care streams, this post covers two care streams (Mental Health & Personality Disorder). Working in a high secure environment comes with its own challenges and the successful candidate will be expected to be vigilant, hardworking and enthusiastic. To apply for this post you will require the essential qualifications mentioned. Evidence of ongoing and updated professional development, a thorough knowledge and understanding of current educational initiatives. You must have the ability to teach adults with specific learning needs and posses an understanding of the issues relating to teaching students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities The role requires experience in devising and applying schemes of work, lesson plans and individual learning plans. Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment. You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £16 per year applies.
