What you'll be doing;
- To collect wastes from customer sites and ensure the safe
- To list, package and label wastes and assess drums and their contents at customer premises
- To pump, decant and re-drum rusty or leaking containers
- Assessment of new enquiries and provide technical knowledge to customers/company employees
- To assist when needed at a transfer station
- Supervision of dangerous loads and sampling of wastes
- Maintain adequate stock levels of routine supplies
- Accurate completion of all documentation and quick processing of all paperwork to facilitate customer expectations
- Other duties as assigned by management site cover at Newcastle Waste Management Centre
What we're looking for;
- Candidates will have a science-based degree of HND or equivalent qualification ideally in Chemistry.
- Knowledge and/or experience of hazardous waste.
- COSHH and health and safety understanding.
- As the role is mobile, candidates must hold a valid driving licence, and be comfortable driving a 3.5t van.
- Good communication skills and the ability to build rapport with customers are essential.
