Stratton Mills is an employment business supplying skilled Textile Personnel across the UK. We are currently looking for a Sewing Machine Mechanic / Technician to join our client on a full-time, temporary-to-permanent basis.
Role Overview for the Sewing Machine Mechanic / Technician role:
We are looking for someone with experience working on sewing machines who can install, repair, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment. This role includes workshop
work and occasional on-site visits.
Key Details for the Sewing Machine Mechanic / Technician role:
• Job Title: Sewing Machine Mechanic / Technician
• Pay: £17.50 per hour (negotiable depending on experience)
• Hours: 40 hours per week (part-time available)
• Schedule: Monday to Saturday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Wednesday off)
• Start Date: Immediate
• Location: Iver, UK (near the M25)
Main Duties for the Sewing Machine Mechanic / Technician role:
• Install, repair, service, and maintain sewing machines and related equipment
• Calibrate and replace mechanical components
• Use the company vehicle for on-site repairs when required
• Opportunity to earn extra income selling sewing machines to customers and demonstrating how they work
Ideal Candidate for the Sewing Machine Mechanic / Technician role:
• Full UK Driving Licence (Category B)
• Strong experience with sewing machine installation, maintenance, and repair
• Ability to read technical documents, mechanical drawings, schematics, and diagrams
