What are the responsibilities of the Committee Support Officer?
• You will provide committee support to the Bradford & Airedale PCN Partnership Group, including preparing, attending and minuting meetings
• You will provide committee support to a variety of other committees as required
• You will support the maintenance of various IT resources including the YORLMC website, the YORLMC database and other repositories
• You will undertake data collation and produce sitreps in a variety of formats
• You will manage the area prescribing committee consultation processes
• You will regularly liaise with Officers to raise, review and support outstanding queries and actions relating to the committees you support as well when providing support to the Committee Officers.
• You will support constituent liaison by assisting with query management and circulating communications
• You will provide support to the Committees Manager with other tasks relating to the smooth running of the LMC committee support services
• You will provide support to the Committees Manager with other tasks relating to policy management
Over time services and functions develop and so this is not intended to be an exhaustive list and associated responsibilities will evolve.
What are the hours?
The minimum hours worked are to be:
• Mondays 12-5pm (5 hours)
• Wednesdays 9/9.30am – 5pm (7 hours, 30min/1 hour lunch)
• Thursdays 12-5pm (5 hours)
If the successful candidate wishes to work more than 17 hours per week, an additional 5 hours can be agreed and there is flexibility as to the pattern of the additional hours.
This role is initially offered on a 12 month fixed term contract.
What will I need to bring to the role?
Ideally you will:
• Have experience of providing administrative support to committees/meetings – eg taking minutes, preparing papers
• Have experience of data input and data collection
• Be educated to GCSE grade C/4 or equivalent
Essential to have:
• Computer literate - ideally including some experience of Microsoft word/outlook or similar
• Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
• Willingness to work as part of a team and develop your understanding of local general practice
• Willingness to be flexible to provide support to the wider committee team
• Driving license and vehicle, or the ability to travel to venues in the York and Bradford area.
