Summary
C&H Autism Senior Practitioner- (Occupational Therapist)
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated C&H Autism Senior Practitioner to join our team. Thanks to some Pathway funding, we have a fantastic opportunity for a 4-month fixed-term position within the well-established City and Hackney Autism Service. This role aims to assist the team in addressing the significant waiting list for assessments.
The role will enable the postholder to significantly broaden their experience of neurodevelopmental conditions and learn from the very experienced multidisciplinary team. They will primarily be involved in assessments and post-diagnostic work.
We need someone confident in their core skills, such as group work and activity.
• Undertaking aspects of Autism assessment process
• Contributing to multidisciplinary diagnostic discussions
• Assisting Band 7 OT in delivering post-diagnostic groups and workshops
• Delivering Reasonable Adjustment appointments with diagnosed patients
• Supporting Team Administrator in managing in-box

The postholder will assist the City and Hackney Autism Service to complete more diagnostic assessments, by participating in aspects of the assessment process, depending on skill and experience, to provide information to the multidisciplinary team. They will take part in team discussions to reach diagnostic conclusions. They will help run the post diagnostic offer for newly diagnosed patients. Additionally they will assist the Operational Lead and the team Administrator in fielding enquiries from service users and other colleagues.
