Crynodeb
Provide general medical services to registered and temporary patients in accordance with the practices GMS contract Undertake patient consultations in person, via telephone, or online, including assessment, diagnosis, investigation, treatment, and referral as appropriate Maintain accurate, contemporaneous, and confidential clinical records using the practices clinical system (e.g., EMIS-WEB) Manage acute and chronic conditions in line with NICE guidance and best practice standards Participate in the management of long-term conditions and health promotion clinics (e.g., diabetes, hypertension, asthma) Review and act upon pathology results, hospital correspondence, and other clinical communications Prescribe medicines in accordance with the practices formulary and prescribing policies Undertake home visits and care home rounds where appropriate Provide advice and support to colleagues, including nurses, pharmacists, and administrative staff Participate in clinical governance, audit, and quality improvement activities Support and contribute to the training of medical students, GP trainees, and other learners if applicable This job description is not meant to be exhaustive but is merely indicative of the main duties involved, however the post holder may at times be required to carry out other duties not listed Work safely at all times in accordance with Legislative requirements and Practice Policy and Procedures
