Crynodeb
The post holder will be an integral part of the Radiology team, working closely with the Consultant Radiologists, Radiographers, Radiographers, Radiology students and other associated Radiology staff. This is a new role designed to support staff across the Trust in our expanding interventional procedures, where successful candidates will be required to work between the two main sites of Darlington and Durham each week. The staff member will be responsible ensuring they maintain their own continuing professional development. To adhere to the acknowledged safe practices of radiation protection standards. To engage with the Regional Imaging and Diagnostic Practice Nurse to promote & improve Radiology nursing as a career. Monitoring physiological observations and supporting patients during procedures. Emotionally supporting patients and their families during their journey through Interventional Radiology. Recovery care for patients post procedure within Interventional radiology protocols. Infection control and audit throughout the department Liaising with wards and working with other Allied Health Professionals. Surgical Scrub nurse support during procedures. Comply with all radiology SOPs and Policies. Compliance with all Health and safety Procedures
