Teaching Assistant – Level 2 (Special)
Contract:Permanent
Start Date:January 2026
Pay:Grade 5 – (pt7 – pt9)
Hours: 32.5 hrs per week (term time only)
The Governing Body are seeking to appoint a full-time teaching assistant to join our dynamic team.
You will be a strongly motivated, committed and enthusiastic person who enjoys working as part of a team to support students with challenging behaviours. There is an opportunity to also assist with the travel arrangements for our pupils at the start and end of the school day and you can claim for the hours worked in addition to your salary.
The Successful candidate should have: -
• Experience of working with students with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.
• Ability to work with groups of 8 to 10 students as well as one to one.
The successful applicant will be subject to a Powys County Council Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS) and registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) we will also require two satisfactory references before taking up the post.
