We have the pleasure of working on a rare opportunity for an experienced UK Sales Manager for a well-established company. This is a full-time permanent role and will include UK wide travel to visit customers, so working from home with regular visits to the office in Suffolk is required.

The company
Based in Germany, our client is a market leader in the development of a range of pumps and valves primarily used to transport toxic or explosive substances within chemical and petrochemical industries meeting exacting quality standards.

Founded in the 1940's the company is a world leading supplier of centrifugal, side channel and twin screw pumps in various designs which are either seal less with Magnetic Drive or mechanically sealed. They also offer a wide ranges of valves too. Playing a major role in ensuring plants operate reliably to protect both people and the environment.

The role
The primary purpose of the UK Sales Manager will be to grow the customer base, by learning about their specific needs and offering solutions. Making sure to forge relationships with existing customers to ensure long-term and continued company success.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Responsible for Sales Development in the UK also taking responsibility for the UK Branch’s cost structure
• Working closely with the rest of the team at HQ, you will develop strategies for sustainable and consistent growth
• Maintaining and expanding customer relationships with existing customers to maximise sales
• Market and competitor analysis and the identification of new sales opportunities will be your daily focus
• Providing comprehensive customer support and guidance. Collaborating with HQ to find bespoke solutions for customer specific projects, processing enquiries, offering advice and preparing quotations
• Conducting damage analysis and repairs on site as required
• Following up with customers after a quotation has been issued
• Representing the company at trade fairs and events
• Managing the administrative and financial operations of the branch

The Person
For this important role within the company we are seeking someone with the following skill and attributes:

• Demonstrable experience as a UK Sales Manager who has previous industry experience is essential.
• Ideally a degree within a Technical Subject such as Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a similar qualification
• Product, market and industry knowledge in the field of special pumps and ideally with Magnetic drive pumps
• An experienced business professional with a strong aptitude for numbers
• Proficient in MS Office and modern communication technologies
• Have the ability to plan your own work and manage the assistant in the Suffolk office
• True entrepreneurial spirit as well as excellent communication skills and negotiation skills
• Technical aptitude coupled with excellent commercial acumen.

Details
This role is offered on a Full-time, permanent basis. The salary offered is depending on experience and plus benefits
