JOB PURPOSE:
To support the development and implementation of Fitness across the Company, providing support across all venues and developing new ideas and products relating to the Fitness offer.
• Support the Activity Programming and Fitness Manager and Venue Operations Managers in the ongoing development and growth of the LAL Fitness provision, ensuring high standards of quality
• To take a leading role in organising, planning, developing, promoting and implementing Fitness programmes which ensure opportunities are available to develop and sustain levels of participation and performance in Fitness
• Support the delivery of relevant Fitness development projects, for the Fitness business stream as appropriate
• To lead the co-ordination and development of the Fitness programme at Dewars Centre with the support of the management team
• To coordinate and support venue Operational Managers and ‘Fitness Leads’ in the review, planning and development of Group and Gym Fitness Programmes across the company’s venues
• Support the development of innovative proposals for new Fitness Programmes that support the growth in LAL income generation
• Contribute to the delivery of communication plans, and attend meetings as required
• Contribute to the development of quality marketing materials and other media advertising as required.
• Work with the Live Active Leisure’s Training Officer in identifying and providing relevant CPD and training opportunities to develop our Fitness workforce
• Support the development of partnerships which support the development and delivery of Fitness programming
• Support Operations Managers in the development and delivery of new procedures and processes to support Fitness development across our venues

Key Tasks
Programme Delivery
• Support the delivery of Fitness related activities as per the demands of the programme
• Support the delivery of group fitness, cycle, gym based classes and personal training where required
• Deliver services to meet quality and health and safety standards
Promotion
• To represent the company in the creation of commercial fitness relationships with the local business community
• Produce material and disseminate information for the marketing and promotion of programmes with a focus on social media
• To represent the company at profile raising events/local groups
• Work with facility operation staff to ensure the effective promotion of all programmes
• Support customer relationship activity to support retention
Performance monitoring
• Establish, maintain and record financial and information systems appropriate to the needs of the services provided
• Provide updates and reports to line managers to assist in the monitoring, evaluation and review of the programmes in achieving remit targets
• Carry out administrative duties in connection with the efficient operation of the fitness programmes delivered in our venues
Health and safety
Key Tasks
• To comply with the requirements of the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and all supplementary legislation
• To ensure that safe operating procedures for all programmed activities are implemented in line with operational policies and guidelines
Training
Key Tasks
• To attend regular staff training sessions, be they held in-house or externally
• To support the planning and delivery of activity instructor training courses held ‘in-house’
• To be a mentor to newly trained colleagues as required by the company
General
Key Tasks
• To ensure you are physically fit to carry out your duties at all times
• To carry out other reasonable duties as may be required
• Maintain confidentiality and observe data protection guidelines
