GR Employment Ltd is recruiting for a Delivery Driver on behalf of one of our customers based in Newcastle, the Armstrong Road area.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily delivery and collection of shipments to and from customers. This Courier Driver role is key to ensuring that the company’s principles and ethos are demonstrated at all times, providing a service delivered with speed, passion, and a can-do attitude.
You will be expected to deliver excellent customer service, showing flexibility and the ability to work well under pressure.
We’re looking for reliable and enthusiastic individuals to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone seeking consistent work with a bit of flexibility built in.
Shift pattern:
Monday to Friday, 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM
Hourly Rate: £13.00 per hour (overtime £19.50 per hour)
Job Responsibilities:
As a Delivery Driver, you will be measured on customer satisfaction and the successful completion of time-definite deliveries and collections. As a frontline representative of the company, you are expected to carry out all tasks with a strong customer-focused approach.
You will be expected to do 70-80 stops a day.
You must demonstrate excellent planning and organisational skills to effectively prioritise tasks and meet customer expectations. While you will be assigned a specific geographical route, flexibility is essential, as you may occasionally be required to cover alternative routes to support business needs.
Job Qualifications:
Full UK driving license
Experience in a multi-drop courier role
Security Training will be given when required
For insurance purposes, you must be at least 21 years old and have no more than 9 penalty points on your driving licence within the last 3 years
