Crynodeb
We are looking for an experienced and skilled Stock Controller to be responsible for the receipt, control, storage and dispatch of all components and finished goods. This is a permanent position.
We welcome applications from ex-service personnel who have stores / logistics experience.
Previous experience of stock control and logistics is essential, but experience / knowledge in a manufacturing environment and / or electronic components and forklift licence would be an advantage.
Essential Skills:
• Good basic education proficient English and Maths and computer skills including ability to work with word documents & spreadsheets.
• Physical fitness: able to bend, stretch and carry. Good spatial awareness. Ability to use handling and packing equipment including pallet truck / forklift
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety practices
• Organisational skills: able to plan workload and prioritise work Organise stores lay-out to maximise efficiency
• Good communication skills: able to build good working relationships with colleagues and customers both face to face and on telephone.
• High level of attention to detail, accuracy working with parts numbers, quantities and dates.
Desirable Skills:
• Experience of computerised stock systems, in a manufacturing / electronics industry (MRP).
• Forklift Licence - Counterbalance up to 5000kgs (B1)
36 Hours per week (Mon-Thurs) 7.30am – 5pm (30 min unpaid lunch break)
