Summary
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and qualified HVAC Estimator to join our client’s team in Dartford. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning projects. This role analyses project plans, specifications, and technical requirements to determine labour, material, and equipment needs.
Key Responsibilities:
-Review blueprints, specifications, and project documents to prepare detailed HVAC estimates.
-Calculate material quantities, labour hours, equipment costs, and subcontractor pricing.
-Obtain and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
-Prepare and submit bid proposals within deadlines.
-Identify value-engineering opportunities to improve cost effectiveness.
-Collaborate with project management and engineering teams during pre-construction.
-Maintain cost databases, pricing sheets, and historical project records.
-Assist in project handoff meetings and provide clarifications as needed.
Requirements:
-Experience in HVAC estimating or related mechanical estimating.
-Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, codes, and industry standards.
-Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
-NVQ or equivalent
-Valid CSCS
-Full UK Driving Licence
