Job Purpose:

The Business Consultant is responsible for analyzing organizational processes, identifying improvement opportunities, and delivering strategic solutions that enhance performance, efficiency, and profitability. This role requires strong business acumen combined with advanced technical skills, data analytics capabilities, and cross-functional collaboration.

Job Description (Main Duties and Responsibilities):
Conduct business needs assessments, gap analyses, and process-mapping.
Develop strategic roadmaps, operating models, and business transformation plans.
Recommend solutions based on data-driven insights and industry best practices.
Facilitate workshops, stakeholder interviews, and requirement-gathering sessions.
Support change management initiatives and organizational alignment.
Perform complex data analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
Build reports, dashboards, and KPIs for operational and executive visibility.
Translate data findings into actionable business recommendations.
Re-engineer workflows using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
Implement digital transformation initiatives across business units.
Optimize cost structures, resource allocation, and operational performance.
Lead cross-functional projects from discovery through implementation.
Develop project charters, timelines, budgets, and communication plans.
Coordinate with technical and non-technical teams to ensure delivery success.
Work closely with IT teams to design or improve enterprise solutions.
Support software implementation, integration, and user onboarding.
Evaluate new tools/technologies and create recommendations for adoption.

Key Skills, Qualifications and Experience Needed [The candidate must demonstrate these in all stages of assessment]
5+ years of experience in Business Consultant or related field.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Power Query, PivotTables, and financial/operational modeling.
Ability to write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and analysis.
Experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik for dashboard and report development.
Strong capability in business process modeling using tools like Visio, Lucidchart, or Signavio.
Proficiency with requirements and project management tools, including Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, MS Project, Asana, or Monday.com.
Working knowledge of CRM and ERP systems, such as Salesforce, SAP, or Oracle.
Experience with RPA technologies including UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or Blue Prism.
Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud (conceptual or hands-on).
Familiarity with API integration concepts and system interoperability.
Foundational understanding of AI/ML applications within business operations.
Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies, ideally at the Green Belt level.
Ability to develop KPIs and performance measurement frameworks to support decision-making and optimization.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or above in the UK or Equivalent.
Salary: GBP 51000 to 60000 per annum
