What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for a passionate individual who is absolutely dedicated to supporting our EAL learners to enhance their English, access the wider curriculum and become confident members of our school community.
This is a wonderful opportunity! With the retirement of our current EAL Coordinator at the end of the year, we are open to training the right person to step into this leadership role.
Our student body is increasingly diverse; 25% of our students now have English as an Additional Language, ranging from new to English to fluent learners, speaking over 70 foreign languages. The school actively supports CPD and if you are interested in progressing your career, we are happy to fund courses or training which support the school’s needs.
If you are well organised, patient and have a real commitment to making a difference then we would like to hear from you.
Visits to the school are actively encouraged, as are initial discussions with Emma Morris, Deputy Principal, which can be arranged by contacting the school.
What the school offers its staff
At CBSC there is a strong emphasis on sustaining and raising achievement in innovative ways and there is a genuine commitment to collaboration and professional development with a bespoke CPD programme.
Commitment to safeguarding
CBSC is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. All successful candidates will be required to undertake a criminal check via the DBS before they can be appointed.
